Nokia Oyj introduced a bicycle charger Thursday, aimed at developing countries with limited access to electricity, but according to the cell phone maker, the idea could catch on in Europe where cycling for work, shipping and errands is a common lifestyle.

According to Nokia spokesman Leo McKay, Nokia is targeting the initial rollout in the developing markets, and also to extend their potentiality outside of these countries as well.

For instance, the cities like Amsterdam, where bicycles are probably the most common means of transportation, the supply of free, environmentally friendly power is pretty much limitless.”

The charger will go on sale for about 15 euros later this year, Nokia said.

Apple has unveiled a new, faster version of the MacBook early Tuesday, complete with a speedier processor, better graphics and improved battery life, all for the same $999 price.

Now, it is available on Apple’s online Web store, the new MacBook has the same white unibody design as last year’s model. It’s configuration includes the 2GB of RAM and the 250GB hard drive- also remain the same.

The 2010 MacBook has a few new tricks up its sleeves, including a speedier 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor (up from 2.26GHz last year), as well as refreshed NVidia GeForce 320M graphics chipset — good for a boost in graphics performance of up to 80 percent over the older GeForce 9400M in the 2009 MacBook, Apple claims.
